I know. I know. I’ve been lacking on the posts lately. My photo back log is getting bigger and my to do list is about a mile long, but it’s all for a good reason. Soon, very soon, I’ll be hitting the road for my project Canada’s Really Big and I’ve been working hard to get everything done before we leave. Plus, we have a fantastic Indiegogo campaign happening, to raise money to produce the book. And that’s a huge trip. Calgary to Quirpon, Newfoundland and back again. We’ve had to line up house sitters, places to stay, research things to see, where to go, how much is it going to cost and market market market it to raise the $3000 needed to make the final product. And heading into the final countdown (15 days to go on the crowdfunding campaign) we’re flogging the hell out of it. I’m going to be on CJSW on Tuesday talking about it. I’ve made flyers and dropped them off around town. I even mentioned it in my Calgary Arts Round Up.
And we’re nearly half way there! So here’s what I need from you. Pass on the word. let people know what’s going on. Tweet the link. Facebook it. Scream it from the roof tops. Let everybody who loves photography, bugs, flowers or Canada know about it. Pledge a few dollars and get a shout out. Pledge a few more and get a post card. Preorder the book. Or order the Whole Shebang and you get a bunch of great art. Let’s get her done!
My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who’s supported this project all ready – Hayley Watson, Pete McCartney, Peter Dale, Ryan Harrison, Dave Patey, Leila and TJ Brosseau and everyone else who’s passed the info along. YOU GUYS ROCK.
Expect more posts by the end of the week – Calgary Zoo August, the rest of the flowers of July and Heritage Park.
